    I need to put for example a button and when it's clicked it brings a new sprite on the screen that I could drag and drop wherever I want on the level of the game.

  • Wow BluePhaze, what you're telling it's pretty cool!... what a saving time and space with Spriter!. I just have a question, how can I import a scml file in Construct2 ?... or am I misunderstanding what you posted ?

  • Thanks JokerSushi, I actually use Illustrator too, I think it's great. And BluePhaze, yesterday I test Spriter and I have to say it was pretty good to animate the character.Thanks for your suggestion, it seems a very useful tool and I think it's better than what I was doing. Thank you very much.

  • Ok BluePhaze, I'm going to check if this is what's happening because indeed the last thing I did was to change the collision transparent box of my character, so maybe it is the cause for this shake.

  • BluePhaze, thanks for your suggestion. I'm using inkScape for my animations but I'll take a look at Spriter to compare them. I will take in mind your suggestion, I'll keep working on my animations for jumping and falling and I'll let you know how's it going.

    Now I don't know why when I put the background image and I move the character (left or right arrow), the game scene seems to shake and it's a very annoyng effect.

    I downloaded the capx file in the first tutorial and I saw the player moves pretty well but when I saw the Event Sheet, I didn't know if it would be a good idea to use the EveryTick event, thinking about performance... Then I saw your version but I would try first to put my animations for jump and fall to see what happens... maybe it slides just because those animations aren't in the events as BluePhaze suggests.

  • Yes BluePhaze, you were right!... I put a background and then I see it walking without any problem. How can I update the events to set the animation back to walking ?, what would be the right event ?... I'm working on the jump and falling animation, that's why the character is with the standing pose when he jumps or falls...

  • Hello I'm creating a new platform character for a Ninja game, and I want to share it with you to have tips, comments or suggestions. These are his basic movements:

    • Left arrow = walk
    • Right arrow = walk
    • Up arrow = Jump (Without any animation)
    • Down arrow = Kneel down
    • CTRL key = (Roll)

    I don't know why he stops in the middle of the screen and he cannot keep walking and why sometimes if I pressed up and left or right key the animation suddenly stops.

This time I don't understand pretty well but today I run the file and it's working without any problem, it's not levitating anymore. I would like to share with you my game, I'll start another topic to get some suggestions about it if you want to test it and maybe get me some tips or comments.

    That's exactly what I did, but I saw that transparent box is the same size of the animations object and still I see the same, the transparent box is levitating. I'm new in this forum, d'you know how can I upload some pictures to show you ?...

  • Hello, I'm developing a platform game, when I pressed some keys my character changes the size, but when this is smaller, my character is in the air, I mean like it's nothing pushing it down. So, when the character kneel down, he seems to be in the air instead of be on the floor. I'm using a transparent box and I pinned the animations of the caracter to that box. I put the event to change size when a frame on the animation changed. Is it something with the gravity or I have to consider something more than size to be on the ground ?... I would like to know how could I attached my capx file to be more clear, but I don't know how.

  • Hello, I want some tips to make a character game with platform moves, but I want to put animations in the caracter when the key left or right is pressed he walks, when the key up is pressed he jumps and when the key down is pressed he kneel down. I try with the basic manuals but when I try to move the character it sometimes moves, sometimes is standing, sometimes seems like he slides, sometimes doesn't move... I think is something with the events (I don't know if it's better to use key is down or key is pressed)...

    How can I attached my capx file ?
