  • Green goo on the run! LOL. ;) Not bad. You should spawn some green particles that explode (with gravity turned on so they fall) when it hits the spikes or something. ;)

That sounds like a cool idea, thanks, I'll try it out! :D

  • Hello,

    nice game so far!

One thing I noticed.. if you touch the ground spikes from the side, you instantly die too.. even though it would be more logical if they acted as a wall when touched from the side and are only lethal when you fall onto them from above.

If you are looking for a sfxr-version with more generators, try this one:

Thanks for the link! As for the spikes I might have a look at that and see what I can do :)

when you lose all your live. it brought me to a new level after i clicked restart.

Ok thanks, I'll try to fix it!

  • I use the manual quite a lot when I stumble upon a problem or something new I don't know how to use. It's a great part of the website and is extremely helpful!

  • Hello!

I've been working on my first platformer game and it's just about complete! I've made all the graphics and animations myself, as you can tell I'm still a newbie at pixel art :D

I created the sounds using as3sfxr (very useful!). It took a while to make the sounds I was looking for.

I hope you guys enjoy playing it, if you have any problems or bugs please share them and I'll try fixing them! I am also open to suggestions/criticism so please reply if you have any, they help a lot for the game and my future Construct 2 Projects.

  • Hmm.. yeah I can sort of understand how it can work now, I might give it a go!

And also BluePhaze I read your 'Platform Enhancement - Wall Jumping' tutorial for another project I'm doing and was very helpful, thanks :)

  • Thanks guys, before I looked at your replies I managed to make really simple grid based movement, here's a screenshot of the events I've done for anyone else who is interested:

Relugy aah I see what you mean, I haven't managed to do that either..

  • Wow, all the art here is brilliant, they are inspiring :)

  • Cool I'll have a look, thanks for the link!

  • Is it possible to make grid based movement? An example of what I mean is Tibia.com

How would someone make this kind of movement in construct?

The video link shows what I mean:

  • I think it's pretty cool, the animations are very good, fluid like AnD4D said and very atmospheric :) Well done so far :)

  • Hello!

I'm having some trouble with Construct 2 and PhoneGap.

I've exported my construct 2 'game' (not so much of a game yet..) using the PhoneGap option, and it created all the expected files, I zipped them up (app.zip) and uploaded the zip file to PhoneGap, when it finished I downloaded the APK file, put it on my phone and installed the game...

But... when I run the game, it says

"The application has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Now I don't know what to do :(

    Additional Info:

I am using an HTC Explorer.

    I am using the Construct 2 - Free Edition Release 90 (64-bit)
