  • Thanks wretchedshark! I tried to look at this file, but I have build 114, so it doesn't open. Do you have a beta version? It says you have build 116.

  • I'm fairly new to Construct 2 and was wondering if anyone knew of an example that demonstrates how a hydraulic arm might work. For example, you push a button and it changes the length of a line used in a distance joint to effect the arm itself (think of how the hydraulic arms on a garbage truck affects the position of the door)? Also, an example of how a joint would work if it were controlled by rotation (such as a wrist). I'm working on some robotics as part of a game and it'd be much more realistic with this effect. Thanks!

  • Arima, thanks for the info! Do you have an idea of when this will be ready? I'm assuming hardware acceleration is browser specific for desktop apps and native across all tablets?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • AnD4D, you're right. It doesn't work through Dropbox. I uploaded to my own web server and the URL entry works. CocoonJS has a pretty bad user experience so far. No product designed for a specific purpose should elude the user in meeting that purpose. When/if they charge for it, I won't use it if these simple tasks cannot be understood.

  • I created a quick, very low profile physics demo and exported to both appMobi and CocoonJS. This is just a bird's eye view of a large object moving about 20 small objects along a tiled background. That's it.

To my disappointment, the frame rates were horrid on both frameworks on a 3rd generation iPad. I've cancelled this project, since it would be unplayable on the device I targeted it for. Sorry, but both CocoonJS and appMobi render physics games on Construct 2 for any mobile devices worthless.
