Did as you said, but it doesn't work. Textbox just says 1 no matter what I try. Also the events and actions are very confusing for a store listing that said "easy"

download rex plugin tool and update all listed in example plugins & behaviors (rex very quick update his plugin so every day plugins might be out of date)

Also did you register your server on backendless?

Just downloaded the files.

Made a new backendless account.

Put the App ID and JS Key on the property of backendless API.

No modification was done from your example files, just straight up opened and put the App ID and JS Key.

Run the example, put name and score and save, nothing happened.
