We currently don't actually allow any signatures, some people have cleverly found a way around it <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> but I'm afraid for them in the upgrade they will be all disabled.

I know a lot of people like them but I find they add a lot of vertical height to the forum threads/posts which makes casually viewing them a lot more time consuming.

Also OP's was I think a spam link, so I had to remove it anyway, if you're not a spammer OP, sorry!

Why don't you keep some limit on the size of the signature?

Hi abhilash, I really do empathise with you wanting to get exposure to your blogs and sites which are all relevant and of value to visitors to the site, let me have a think about it for a bit and I'll see if we can make everyone happy!

Think about it hard Tom. I em too a supporter of the signatures. they can be tiny but they are needed

I also like them as long as they're not too long - it's a quick way to find out about what people are working on.

It's a pretty standard thing for forums to have. As long as we have a limit, are they really a problem?

Ultimately I don't have a problem with them at all, and I want people to have exposure for their blogs and games, I'm just not sure if a signature image is the best way to do it for various reasons.

Having the ability to turn sigs off - like the previous forum - would be my preferred option. It has the added bonus of speeding up page load times as well :)

What are peoples thoughts on a link directory for Construct/Scirra related websites? It would be a lot more prominent, and relevant. This would be instead of a forum signature. I think this way you guys get what you want with exposure, and we keep the forum looking really clean and light.
