How to change a single character color from Text

Hello newbie here,

I really stuck out here, trying to create a fast typing game which change the color of every single correct character in a text object, I dont know how to pick or do a substring to pick my text Object character to be colored, The text object only have a set font color method which will turn all the char colors in my text object, Is there any way to do this? must I download any plugin.. I don't think you can. Maybe there is a plugin for that, I don't know.

thx for the reply... actually I trick it with set 3 layers of different colors of text, now I stuck in how to get a shift+anotherKeyPress keycode, I just can get the latest keycode here.. any one can help..   <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Why would you need to know the shift keycode?

I mean how to get the combination keycode.. for example "@" keycode is 80 but when I press shift and then "2" the function only return the last keycode which is keycode for "2"

I don't think you can, and d�pending on the type of keyboard, unexpected result could happen, for exemple:

for the '2' key, a qwerty keyboard will return 2 without Caps, and with caps, but in azerty, it'll return � without caps, and 2 with caps, so I am not sure you can do it easily
