[Volunteer Job] Need pixel artists for JJBA RPG

  • Hello everyone, I'm a rep for the people working on a sequel to the highly popular Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fangame, 7th Stand User. We are looking for pixel artists who can do detailed and chibi style sprites, as well as tilesets. We are looking for several people, and we'll update this thread when we have found a suitable amount.

    Our game continues from the original, taking place in Part 4 of Jojo, Diamond Is Unbreakable. The player is a student who's recently moved to Morioh, and gets in adventures with characters from the main story, as well as original characters created for the game. The game is currently being developed with RPG Maker VX Ace with plans to move development to a custom C++ engine in the future.

    Our game has two main styles: a chibi, Final Fantasy like overworld sprite, and a full body, to scale sprite for battle. Battle will play out like SNES Final Fantasy games, with our own added flare. The artists we currently have working with us are given creative freedom, but work within guidelines our project leads set for them, to keep a consistent style.

    For the volume of work involved (Examples provided are not final):

    Overworld Sprites (High Amount/Quick Production/Middling Priority): They are not detail intensive, and can be made at a steady rate. They are standard RPG Maker 3 columns X 4 rows dimensions. (http://i.imgur.com/YtuaF4Q.png)

    Battle Sprites (Fair Amount/Slow Production/High Priority): These are far more detail oriented, and will need more work. Thankfully, there are far fewer sprites for characters in battle than there are overworld sprites. (http://i.imgur.com/kXlUC78.png) (http://i.imgur.com/XjmNx8n.png)

    Tilesets (Fair Amount/Quick to Middling Production/Low Priority): There are many tilesets that need to be done, but we can cut corners where needed and overall it should be possible to make these in a reasonable amount of time. (http://i.imgur.com/Sg6fzDh.png)

    The amount time you work with us depends on how reliable, talented, and fast you are. We do not have hard deadlines, but we want to get a demo/proof-of-concept out for this game by the end of Q1 2017, and hopefully a V.1.0 out before 2020. This position is volunteer is due to legal reasons. No one on this project has been paid for their time. This is purely a passion project for fans of the source material and for people who want to help make a video game. That said, we aren't asking you to be a fan of Jojo to help. We want people who are committed, reliable, and willing to help us make, and put a game out there for people to play.
