  • Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last post.

Around two years ago, I started working on a project I had been planning for months, and everything was going well. However, not too long ago, I had to make some real-life decisions that drained me physically and mentally, making it impossible to continue the project.

Now, a year later, things have slightly improved, and I feel ready to return to it.

That said, I’m not sure about the best way to approach this...

I reopened the latest build, but it felt like I couldn’t make sense of all the events I had created before.

It’s as if any changes — whether adding or removing something — might actually break the build.

I also tried starting a new project from scratch, but it felt empty compared to the many features I had painstakingly added to the previous build.

(Honestly, I don’t think I can replicate everything in the same way.)

My goal is to finish this project in a relatively short time so I can move on to something new. What would you?

    Thank you all for reading!

  • I know that scenario, although I've never left off my project for more than 2 weeks, it is huge and complex, and every time i return to it i feel the same you described.

I would suggest to give the project some time: play it, find some smaller things you want to change/improve, and attempt to do that. Trial and error, familiarize, and you'll slowly grasp it again. Given enough time, it could work even with projects you did not create in the first place.
