I know this, but in the PlayStore there are many clones, so i can too.
That doesn't make them legal.
The Tetris company claimed that they have copyright/trademark on the tetrominos (the shape of the blocks), colors and dimensions of the playfield. wired.co.uk/article/tetris-clone-ruling.
There exist Tetris like games like Columns from Sega, Klax from Atari, Hatris ect.
Nobody will stopp you to make a Tetris-Clone and try to put it on the Google Play, but google can reject it, delete it or worse you could be sued. It's up to you.
