imothep85 I know that they recently added simple "chat" style multiplayer into C2, it would work if your game is turn based or pretty much not-real-time. That said, it would probably work if your game was like an MMO where everyone only fights NPC's, as the lag wouldn't affect core gameplay (the web sockets use TCP, which is great for making sure messages are delivered, but isn't nearly as fast as UDP)

ah yeah but for realtime... :s well i try to find a video tutorial but no one has made one at the moment :s

If you have Firefox Nightly build or Chrome Canary you an play realtime gaming using WebRTC Data Channels.

Just need Scirra to add WebRTC support as a plugin for C2.

This plugin is great. Any chance the CC1 plugin might be updated to run stable without having to set compatibility settings in Windows 7?

I'm going to take a crack at updating it to run stable on Windows 7 without compatibility mode. I just gotta setup a Windows 7 computer to start development on it again. Then gotta get my dev environment set backup. I've mostly been procrastinating...but work has been crazy. :-)

Hum, yeah I have some ideas and some questions too :p

When you join a server, what are "user data" for ?

Have channels an utility ? (reduce lags etc.. ?)

Maybe you could add something to load, change values from sql table.

I am currently using ini system but it's bad :p Would be great if it was possible

to directly load, save things in sql table.

Make game working on Windows Vista, Seven, 8 is important too, because some players don't know

how to make running as xp compatibility mode ^^

almeidamarcell sadly not, C2 is based on HTML5 which is very different to C++ which the ENET libraries are built on I believe

I haven't quite wrapped my brain around how this would work and if it needs WebRTC to facilitate talking to the networking library. Perhaps something like Bananabread game demo which actually uses an ENET core.

All of this is probably too time intensive for me to even consider...so answer practically is no right now.
