Well I just got construct and wanted to play with some of its capabilities, coming from mmf 2, construct seems more my style. However, every time I try to open the image editor it crashes. Well after a repeated error "CD3DDisplay an invalid texture was referanced, this is a bug please report it!". No matter what I do, its quite frustrating, how do i rectify this?

What video card do you have? You might want to try updating the drivers for it.
