This really is an interesting piece of software and I'm looking forward to having a good faff around with it
Starting up Construct - and any of the pre-compiled demos - resulted in a long, long series of "cannot load plugin" errors. The files were present and accessible. I tried the usual suspects of run as admin, xp compatibility, but found it was DEP that was causing the problem.
Data execution prevention has been known to cause some problems here and there but I was wondering if someone could look into this as adding an exception might be dangerous for the erm, computer-illiterate
To add an exception, if you're curious: Right-click my computer | properties | advanced | performance settings. note: windows will not allow you to remove the exception, I've found, if you delete the file before trying to remove it's exception. PITA, but that's windows!
