Why is 864x480 not a supported resolution? It's the standard resolution for 16x9 480p. Is this a resolution that DirectX just doesn't support? Although I'm pretty sure Lost Planet for the PC supports it...

When do you get that message? I'm sure it checks resolutions supported by your display adapter - if you pick fullscreen mode and your video card or monitor can't display that exact resolution, you'll see that error.

I get the message when trying to go into fullscreen mode. It tells me:

Switching to Fullscreen mode: Display mode 864 x 480 not supported, switching to next best 1024 x 768.

I'm pretty sure I've used that resolution for something on my computer. I'm currently getting the Lost Planet demo just to see if that supported it.

Edit: Nevermind, I guess I haven't seen that resolution seen anywhere.

No, see, I tried that too before I check Wikipedia's page about 480p. Neither of them work.
