Would it theoretically be possible for somebody to go into the open-source code of Construct to end up with something that can make a game supported by OpenGL? Is Construct too intergrated somehow to DirectX in its current form? Could someone with a lot of effort do it?
Just busy trying to make some decisions right now!

As far as I understand it, while it's technically possible, the amount of work required for someone to do it for C1 makes it implausible. Tho an opengl C1 would be awesome..!
I didn't code the thing, though, so best to wait for Ashley's response.
It's possible, but would probably be an amount of work on the order of rewriting the runtime.
That's exactly what we plan to do for C2 - rewrite an EXE runtime using OpenGL - but we're not sure when we'll get round to that. Definitely on the cards though.
