Do imagepoints actually work?

I'm trying to get an imagepoint x from an object, but when i type in the name it just says its not a variable, would i like to define it. I chose yes for kicks and it just creates a variable for it (i hope this hasn't messed up my .cap or anything, Its not crashed yet).

But more importantly, i can't call the imagepoint. Am i doing this wrong?

Ships.ImagePointX('something')

No bug, it's an expression, which takes a string, so " is correct.

' is only for variables.
