Every time I open Construct I'm presented with the following:
I accept the update each time but the next time I open it's back again.
Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? I'm on Windows 11, using Chrome, and have Beta releases selected.
What is the URL in the address bar? If you keep opening the r416.2 release specifically, then it will keep prompting you that there's an update available.
Ashley I've installed it as an app, so don't see the address bar, but if I copy the URL or open in Chrome from the app I get editor.construct.net as the URL.
Try uninstalling the app and reinstall it again when the URL bar says just editor.construct.net. Perhaps you installed a specific version so it will always load that and then show an update prompt to the newer version.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as you suggested, with just editor.construct.net - I also removed the associated data at the point of uninstalling. I'm still getting the update prompt.
Same thing is happening for me.
I uninstalled and re-installed again from editor.construct.net but i just get the pop up every time. It happens on both my desktop and my laptop.
Oddly if i go to editor.construct.net in my browser, same deal there too. It asks to update every time i open it fresh (i am saying yes to the update of course haha!)
Sorry to double post! I forgot to mention, this seems to have only started since i elected to use Beta versions.
In settings, do you have 'Notify me about updates to beta releases' set? If so that's correct - you've asked it to tell you if there's a newer beta release, and so if you visit the latest stable release with a newer beta available, you'll get an update prompt.

Ashley I do have beta releases set, but once I've accepted and downloaded the update shouldn't it be respected until there's a new update? Is there a way to get around this or is it something I'll just have to put up with if I've installed as an app and enabled betas? I'm fairly sure this didn't used to happen.
