I am trying to make it so if the user swipes up on the screen the player will jump and if he swipes down the player will go down if its jumping , can someone please help me out! Much appreciated and will be recognized.

If the player swipes up(vertically) on the screen the player will simulate a jump pretty much is all I'm looking for, I still cant seem to understand how to do a swipe function,
