How do I start the Timeline??

Hello,

I have created a timeline.

In the preview, the timeline moves fine (look Screenshot).

but when I run the layout, the timeline doesn't start.

Nothing happens....

How can I start the animation?

Use the Timeline plugin, and play it on start of layout.

How do i play timeline animation on different object?

Use the 'Set instance' action before playing it to change it to play with a different object.

I followed manual. but i m not getting it.

not getting what is use of Track ID. and also didn't get what it means "set instance to use in next timeline playback". what is next timeline playback means?

I created a simple animation and then

in events

On start of the layout > Set object to track "something" of next timeline.

> Play Timeline with tags "something else"

it never play animation

That looks correct, but did you set a track ID to "greenBox" in the timeline? It's easier to share a project in these cases so we can see how you've got everything set up.

No I did not set any Track ID, I did not see anything there to set track ID in Timeline.

There is no track ID named "greenBox" so it won't work.

Edit the timeline, click the object track (where it has red - 2 above the X and Y positions), and set the ID property to "greenBox". Then it works. (You might want a clearer track ID though, since calling a track with a red box the "greenBox" track seems confusing.)

Oh! I found it. for some reason i was not able to select x, y and red - 2 in timeline. i did restart browser and then able to select it. So now its working perfectly.

there is one thing to notice. When Editing mode is off then object is positioned to the ending state of the animation. It should positioned to the beginning state.
