Question about updating a live game: If I publish a game lets say to Steam, how do I update it and not destroy the buyers/users progress? I have never launched anything but I'm guessing I'll need to fix lots of bug when I do some day. If the game is an RPG style I don't want to anger all the users by destroying all their progress in the game.
How do you launch a update for an existing game using on online services? Has anyone got advise on this?
