  • Pretty new to construct, so I apologize if this is ridiculously obvious.

I'm working on my first game and one of the mechanics is being able to pick up an object and throw it in the direction the player is facing/running. I kind of have it working, but half the time the object (in this case a sprite of a baby) is thrown the wrong way.

I posted a video so you can see it in action:

It happens on flat surfaces as well as hills and other platforms

Here's a screen shot of the relevant events:

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much

  • I'm trying to figure out why you are rotating the baby?

Anyway, you don't have to set the angle and the angle of motion. The angle of motions will automatically be the angle of the object...unless you have unticked that box.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I was trying different methods to throw the object, and I followed along with a youtube tutorial that added those rotation actions Anyway, I tried taking out the rotation and the angle of motions but the same thing is still happening. throwing is still unpredictable. 🤷‍♂️

  • Thanks! I sent you an email and will take a look at your file as well.
