How do I ged rid of black borders on android phone

Hi All,

I exported my game as signed apk file when testing I noticed black borders on my screen on the right and left side. How do I get my game to show full screen of as big as posible?

My properties of projct are:

1280x 720

letterbox scale.

then don'T use letterbox

If I dont use letterbox then you will see more than the view point so in my case more than 1280.

If I use scale outer I need to change every thing in my game to fit the screen

i don't understand you want to use more of the screen but you don't want to use any more of the screen

all my images are 1280x720. if I choose scale outer then I have to enlarge/stretch all my assets/images. if I do this, it causes poor quality photos/assets.

so i was wondering if i could get rid of those black edges without adjusting everything in my game

You can use scale inner to chop off extremities instead.

But the standard I would say is to use scale outer, and design for a larger viewable area. You don't necessarily need or want to stretch your assets, just plan for more to be viewable.

keep your assets the way they are and add some decorations on the sides if you want so the space is filled

apparently there is indeed no other option but to choose scale outer and then complete the edges with decoration :) thanks for your help.

And should I close this topic myself? or does it happen automaticly.
