How do I find a file within a directory with AJAX?

I want to make a function that finds json files by name (for arrays that contain dialogue) But for organization purposes i placed them in folders, if they were on the main files it would be enough with typing the name but AJAX can't find the file if they are inside a directory, what do i have to change in the URL so it can find the highlighted file?

I don’t think you can? At least not with Ajax.

A quick google search yielded this. Apparently it’s possible to do from the server side but not from JavaScript on the client side.

A creative solution could be to periodically open your c3p with a zip program and copy the .c3proj file. At one point in the file it lists all the files in the files folder. You could utilize that to find the folder a particular file is in.

If you are merely trying to load a file in a subfolder, then the path to use depends on the Export file structure project setting. The new default is folder mode, which means you need to specify the full subfolder path, e.g. "Dialogues/Timothy/Test/Timothy-dialogue-1.json".
