How do I make an end credits similar to the one in Sonic 2 on the game gear?

So I'm trying to make an end credits similar to the one in Sonic 2 on the game gear where Sonic runs for a while, then when the music ends, he stops and the camera goes up in the sky. If anyone knows how to achieve this effect, let me know.
