How do I enable multiplayer?

Hi! I have made a game that I would like to enable multiplayer on. But I really don't understand what any of the multiplayer options actually do.

Currently I have six sprites with 8 direction functionality in the 'Arena' layout. I have six sprites representing each in the 'Player Select' Layout. I want to activate control over just one of the characters when you select the matching sprite.

Ideally this will become a six person game. But I'm completely new to the concepts of room and lobby etc. I have read through the tutorial but am still confused as to which multiplayer actions I need to enable.

If you read through all the multiplayer tutorials but still have trouble, you should follow them step by step to recreate the example projects.

If you don't understand how the example projects work, you're going to run into a lot of issues making your own game.
