Make sure the text object in which you want to display the score is large enough in the layout (height and width).
If it is not, text will not display.
Otherwise, post a copy of your c3p project (https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/overview/saving-sharing-projects) so others can check it out and see what might be missing.
