How do disable character ligature in Text Object?

Hello,

I'm using a otf font in a Text Object that has built in ligatures, i.e. some character combinations are replaced by a single character like ff becomes ff or ffi becomes ffi.

I would like to disable this but there's no option in the text object dialogue box.

Is there a way to do that, for exemple with a javascript function or a bbcode line ?
