HOW DO I create an outline for my changing text?

I use bbcode to set up an outline for my text like

[outline=white]TEXT[/outline]\n

But my text object always shows different values which depends on the value of a variable. And when the values change, outline disappears

Is there any way to solve it? I need my text object to always have an outline

You can add your own tag into text and replace it with the value before displaying:

Variable t = [outline=white]You earned {score} points![/outline]

Set t to replace(t, "{score}", str(playerScoreVar))
Text set text to t

Set t to "You earned " & playerScoreVar & " points!"
Set t to "[outline=white]" & t & "[/outline]"
Text set text to t
