  • What's the difference between CS2 and CS3?

What I know is only that

    CS2 = should download

CS3 = can access on browser

any significant things I do not know yet about performance and functionality difference?

  • In the future Construct 3 will be faster, so that's a big deal.

There is a comparison list at https://www.construct.net/make-games/new-features

I upgraded to Construct 3 last week, I really didn't need to for my projects because Construct 2 is a solid engine, but there are some features of C3 that I wanted and they are...

Contained animation window. C3 has better dual screen support overall as well.

The admob plugin has reward ads

    Improved find function

    Remote Preview

I should mention how surprised I am that I really enjoy working in the browser.

If you are in the search to earn money from games and you are successful then you will spend a total of $500 for C2, that's currently 5 years of Construct 3. Construct 2 personal is $200 or 2 years of C3. So Construct 3 is worth the try. If you don't like it which I doubt, but lets say you do then you will save $100 by purchasing 1 year of C3.

  • Thanks a lot for your great answer bro.

how much should I pay more if I want to upgrade from CS2 to CS3?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • All pricing can be found here:

If you have a C2 hash, enter it here:

    construct.net/en/login

You may be entitled to a discount on C3 if you purchased C2 previously.

  • klkev I'd add to what said that C3 is just all-around easier to use. At a glance the two are very similar, but there are so many small improvements throughout C3 that they add up to a much smoother workflow. Plus any new major features like the timeline tool will only be coming to C3.
