  • Hello, I have a problem with starting my application on some phones (including Motorola One Vision, Android 9.0). It gets stuck on loading the application, and when I download the same version from the Play store from a year ago, everything works, so it's probably related to Construct 3 updates. I tried changing many options in "View" and in export settings, exporting from another browser without plugins, but nothing helps. Even a new - empty application won't start.

Please help me what else can I check, it works normally on most phones

PS: I'm sending a screenshot of an attempt to start the application - even the logo is strangely stretched

  • I launched previous versions of Construct 3 and this is what happened:

    374 - ok

    380 - ok

    383 - ok

    384 - ok

385 - the game starts, I can hear the sound, but the image is white

388 - the application tries to start, changes the resolution, but the game does not start

388+ - it gets stuck on loading the game

Can anything be done to make it work on the new version of Construct 3? Android 9.0 has more than 10% of people, it would be worth reaching them... do I have to copy the application to the old version for it to work?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Did you minify when exporting your game? If so try 'none'

  • I don't use the minfy option

  • I think if the tool is 'none' there will be no minifying. It was a shot in the dark. It was one change in the update to 385 (Update Closure Compiler (used for minifying) to v20240317)

    I would make a Bug-Report:

    https://github.com/Scirra/Construct-bugs

  • Thanks, I reported the problem.

  • I got the solution, Chrome and WebView must be updated to the latest version on the phone.
