I wanted to ask that when a game is updated in Android/ios, are the storage values from the old version of the game retained or are they deleted. What about uninstall/reinstall? Also are the apps automatically updated and if not then does the user get a notification to update the app?

Old data is retained on update. If you uninstall it will delete everything. Apps usually update automatically.
