Multiplayer Tutorial 4 not working on real network

Hey

I am trying to build a multiplayer platformer game and I wanted to check the multiplayer example construct has on real network.

Just to note: When I test the multiplayer with 2 tabs on my computer all works great. The issues are only when trying to play with with 2 different computers.

I uploaded the multiplayer tutorial as is to surge and tried to play

As you can see the peer never gets connected to the host!!!

Any ideas?

Is construct 3 built in multiplayer actually supposed to work??

One more thing

Sometimes the peer does get connected but only for a second or two and then id disappears

Works fine for me, even on two different computers, on your host (where the project is hosted generally doesn't matter by the way, it's a peer to peer connection).

Some connections can have issues without a TURN server, which is not utilized by default, but there is nothing stopping you from adding one.

If you need a stable multiplayer on all devices and all networks, then only TURN server or photon.

Using photon how do you handle the lag compensation like construct multiplayer?

Just a reminder that connectivity related issues are discussed near the beginning of the first multiplayer tutorial which discusses things like mobile networks and TURN servers.

Stick to construct multiplayer, i will be releasing an extension this friday to the official multiplayer that uses photon as a turn server backup.

All lag compensation is automatically handled for you.

Something is very odd

I understand that things can go wrong in an internal network, maybe need configuring the router and stuff.

But, I tried also with connecting 2 computers to 4g network instead of wifis.

Still the same issue.

I added logs onConnected and onDisconnected events of the host and the logs appears only if I connect as a peer in the same computer. when I connect in the other computer as a peer I dont even see the "connected" event in the host.

Any idea?
