Epic platformer game template upgrade to C3 runtime?

I'm wondering if the game template Epic Platformer can be upgraded to c3 runtime, and if so how do I it? It says it has to be manually done in some way.

What template are you talking about can you post the link?

Yes this has to be manually done you will have to remove the instances of objects and plugins that are not supported in the c3 runtime and change them out with the equivalent in the construct 3 runtime.

It seems to be (or at least was) a very popular game template, and as I read it is C3-supported I thought it would work out fine.

Maybe anyone knows any similar template, or how to upgrade the one I have? How do I know which instances of plugins and objects that’s incompatible?

Make sure to read the various posts already there, perhaps they will provide you with some insight.

When you open a project in Construct 3, a dialog appears to let you know if and what addons might be missing for example.

The same dialog will appear when you switch the Project property "Runtime" from C2 to C3 runtime.

I was about to do it first, but then I read

Since the thread has been inactive for so long, and since it's not an easy (at least for me) task to upgrade the template manually, I thought I could go here to look for help. I also contacted the developer Soluna Software. And I have read all the general documents (the link you posted) about the switch between the old and the new runtimes.

But I will do some research based on what you said and try to figure it out.

Okay, so now I have found converted versions for all incompatible addons apart from an addon called Rex_comment, which as far as I can read on forums, is not likely to be converted to c3 runtime. It seems it's recommended to use the corresponding text-instance in c3 instead. The problem, I have no clue how to do that. And since this piece is missing I guess I can't convert the game template to c3 runtime?

Again, consider posting in the original topic, the original author of the template might help do this modification.

The idea is to open the template in Construct 2 and remove the addon there, replacing the ACE for it with a standard or compatible addon that can be then opened in Construct 3.
