Well, I really like to make this game. To be honest I was doing in other software, but after I discovered the "construct2" I did leave the old project and bought the license of the Standard construct. Now I'm venturing into the task of recreating the game to where I stood in old maker.

    Controls:

Directional arrows to the sides - Move the character to the sides.

Up Arrow or Spacebar - Jump.

    Down Arrow - Lowers.

    Ctrl - Shoot power.

  • damn, that's nice.

  • Yeah, this looks rad. My only suggestion is to get rid of the tiny window and make it bigger. I always hate games that have a tiny window, and can't be full screened. Just my personal gripe. ;)

Graphics look outstanding. Can't wait to see the boss in action.

Spriter would be a great tool to use for the boss, especially :D

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Hum! I got it, and what would be a recommendation to use in the screen size?

  • I would make it full screen scale mode.

It's an amazing game beautiful art style people need to enjoy it fullscreen!

  • I've fallen in love with that character xD.

  • Ok guys, you won :D

I put the game to 640x480 and put it in full screen scale mode!

  • exellent work :D

  • i hav to do too, somes lava for my game :D your lava is a good reference :D for my inspiration :D

  • Thank u imothep85!! :D

The art I really loved to do, actually I like to create art than to program.

but I'm taking a beating from construct2 to get the right platform movement as the way I want :(

  • Hi Gillenew.

Nice artwork! The background art is paticularly nice. Good use of light and effects like the jump dust in the game.

Constructively - i wasnt a big fan of the sounds. The jump sound is perhaps a little too loud. The music was very fitting but it became repetitive really quickly.

Also regarding the resolution - I would decide what you are planning to do with the game and base your resolution off that. If you are planning on putting it on websites like flash games then the max width is often around 800. For chrome store last i checked they encouraged a minimum resolution of 1024x768 but also liked there apps to scale full screen.

I wasted 2 days adjusting my platformer to a new resolution because i changed my mind about this :(

Looking forward to your progress with this.

that's the beauty and the power of c2. even as an artist, you can work to make c2 do what you want it to do, instead of having to settle for 'cookie-cutter' actions and functions.

when you get it the way you want, and see it in action, it will warm your artistic heart, because you will know that game mechanics/design is as much an art as the most beautiful background or boss character.

    enjoy...

  • Thx so much guys!! :D

I'm really trying to improve both the functional part of the game as part of sound, let's see how it gets :D

  • I'm finishing the first world, I finally managed to get used to the program (which is very good by the way) :D

  • Hh :D you are making a good game :D hope to see more soon :D
