My first Construct 2 HTML5 Game - Cash Roll

Since picking up Construct 2 about a week ago it's been a really great learning experience. I am completely impressed by this program and look forward to the final release.

Here's what I've made with it so far.

It's isn't optimized but my goal was to try my hand with Construct 2.

Proof of concept works.

Just be careful, after submitting the top score (12400 $, I don't know if it is related or not) the alert telling me I had submitted looped (I clicked OK, and the alert would pop up again).

Maybe you're missing some "Trigger once while true" condition somewhere.

Tested in firefox 6.0.2.

Thanks Kyatric, not sure why it would do that but I'll look into it. The event should only get called each time the post score button is clicked. At any rate, it looks like the score got submitted once only.

A bunch of other things I want to improve upon but C2 has met my expectations so far.

lol...yeah, the hard button doesn't work. I will speed it up.

As well, the roll movement is a bit wonky. I can't wait to see how Construct 2 will handle physics.

Fun little game. I played on hard until $27,300. Then I had to kill myself as I felt I could go on forever.

Top score is $68,200.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I posted an AJAX tutorial so I can remember how I did it. It's basic with lots of screen captures.

How you do a high scores list? :) How i must do to have that kind of list in my game

It is a good game but the high score can easily be hacked. And I guess someone had hacked it. You need good protection of it.

Yes, it's been mentioned in my Ajax tutorial at:

It's just a demo and at this point served only as an example. It was created in about 3 days and I'd only picked up C2 a few days before that.
