  • I'm developing a platformer game inspired in megaman and shovel knight with elements of beat em up games! Here is a video a new weapon I recently added! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

POWZ-BALL My Upcoming 2-4 player PC Couch/Local Multiplayer Game.

Currently i am working on a PC Couch/Local Multiplayer game. The game has many game modes and levels, out of which one is the Rag-doll football mode which is shown in this video.

The Aim in this game mode is to score in the opponents goal post. The goal post appears randomly. The characters are difficult to control and the player can use jump and dash down moves to control their player to score the goal.

This game mode has two options "Race to 5" and "Race to 10".

The first person to score 5 goals wins the match and the the first person to score 10 goals wins the match respectively.

  • Working on point and click game. The wizard is Malpheus and the mirror wizard is his close friend/rival Mathaius who pops up to chide him every once in awhile. The background was rendered in Unity and then edited with Photoshop to have a more painterly look before being dropped directly into Construct 2. I just got scaling working correctly.

The second is a 4 player arcade game called AstroBRAWL. It's pong on steroids and supports a mixture of keyboard, mouse and up to 4 gamepads. When it's done it should have space vehicular combat, at least 10 selectable pilots with with voice, powerups and a 80's anime/techno vibe. I'm toying with the idea of using Photon to add online multiplayer and a campaign/vrs ai/storymode to play through.

    Omg, just how?

  • NetOne Thanks! Worked really hard on it.

10000 hours of Construct's bound to result into something. Persistence and a strong desire to keep improving is crucial.

  • Tinimations Just bought your game on steam. It's pretty amazing! My computer coudn't handle the graphics properly though, so there was a lot of lag... Did you use lot's of pre-rendered 3D animation? The number of frame of those animations must be crazy!

    Congrats for the awesome work!

  • Ah thanks! I see. The first Klang does have a pretty big problem with draw calls and overdraw. Are you playing on a very old computer or a laptop? If the game runs on an intergrated card and not a dedicated one it'll run very poorly.

Yes I used a lot of 3D for the game. Made a blogpost about it: construct.net/en/blogs/construct-official-blog-1/creating-klangs-art-design-859

KlangM will run on pretty much anything when it comes out though.

Yes, I'm actually playing on a pretty weak machine and I do not own a dedicated graphic card. I'll make sure to try the game again whem I update my computer, the game looks really awesome!

Also, this blog post is gold! Should be a must have read for every construct dev. Thanks for this pearl! Keep the good job man, I'm sure you're making the community very proud. (:

  • Aww <3

Also if you guys are interested I also just posted a tweet chain with videos of Klang's making of journey.

It shows off what the game looked like in the beginning, and how it kept improving.

  • Something i'm currently working on, halfway between Alien Breed on the Amiga, Splatterhouse and Hotline Miami.
