Falling Blocks is a game strongly inspired by the classic TETRIS.
  • Hey guys.

Just wanted to show you my other project which is in a good state right now.

It is currently developed for the iPhone and I really hope to get it released in April or May.

There are 14 levels right now and I hope to have about 30-40 in the release version.

Would love to get some feedback.

  • After you swipe, does the ball bounce off any walls it comes into contact with? Or does it stop dead after a certain bit? I love the simplicity of the color schemes, and layouts you have. The two-tone colors for the blocks and multipliers is also very pleasing to look at for extended periods. Also, I would suggest changing "it's" to "its" in your How To Play section. I definitely say to keep going on this and add more levels.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Thanks:)

The coloured blocks can be destroyed and gives different points. The ball bounces of all

grey blocks which simulates the "wall". the ball gets slower after the shot until it stops. Depends on how many tries you have in the levels.

thanks for the thing in the howto:) Will change that!

could show u the game with a video but dont

    know how to record from

iphone with good quality. i may make a capture from the node-webkit version:)

  • I used the first promo code you have listed above [FTWPAPFRPYPR]. I tried to leave a review on itunes but it wouldn't let me since I hadn't purchased the game, just redeemed it.

Anyway, I liked how simple & straightforward the game is. It ran really smooth on my iPad without any hiccups at all. I think this game definitely has potential if you could tweak one or two things. One major thing is that, after 4 attempts, I only made it as far as level 7 (out of 50). Since there is no continue from last completed stage option, that means that users need to be on their game each and every time they attempt to make it to level 50. What would really help is a much more forgiving set of lives or bonus lives to gain during the first 10-20 levels or so. Then they can play it leisurely without worrying about getting the precise lineup necessary to take out the blocks.

Another thing which is probably not that easy to implement would be a line-of-sight type of graphic so you can visually see where you're lining up your shot to go around the board. I have no idea how to make that work, but I think it would be helpful, though probably really difficult to add in.

Otherwise, I really liked the mechanics of it and would play again if it was a bit easier to progress through the earlier levels. Congrats on completing the game, though.

Thank you. Yeah it is maybe a bit to hard. Mainly the game was designed to be more challenging than to be to easy. But I may tweak this a bit.

The line-of-sight could maybe a bit difficult. Don't know if that is possible with C2. But I definitely look into this <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

I also just good a good review on a famous german iOS blog:

    Kind regards,

  • A new update should be out around next week.

I added the line-of-sight along with some new ingame backgrounds.

The game should also be slighty more easy.
