c2addon files installation path

I just noticed that, when installing behavior via .c2addon files, it installs to

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Construct2\behaviors

instead to the usual

C:\Program Files\Construct 2\exporters\html5\behaviors

My question is, is it intentional? Because it kinda breaks the behaviors and plugin collection into two path and I'm not sure which one is being used anymore.

It's by design. See the r120 release notes. The editor always tries to copy addons to both folders, but often doesn't have permission to write to the install directory (since Program Files tends to require admin permission to write to). The editor always loads from the install directory first, then looks in AppData.

Hate to Necro a post, but can I just copy the c2addon file to the C2 installation folder, and not copy it to AppPath as well? I use C2 from a flash drive, and want to just keep everything local to that directory if possible... Or does it actual HAVE to exist in both directories?
