text object

Hello i would like to know how to make an app for the web, who can load an external text file and show that text inside the text object.

Did you screw around with the AJAX object?

yeah i was testing the ajax object but i cant find an option how to copy from a file to the thext object present in my app.

i want to copy a txt file present on the ftp and just show that on my html5 app, inside the text object :D

AJAX will do it, but there are permission issues. You can't test it from your local host. If you export & upload to your site, and the file is (I'm not sure of the rules) on the site somewhere, you should be able to access it.

The site itself was uploaded to a subdirectory of Construct2Stuff, so the data does not have to be within the project itself.

i have done the exact stuff you show me but its not working are you sure dont have made some mistakes in the "set text to..."??
