  • Hello,

I'm trying to test my game on my laptop and my tablet.

I found a file online but it seems to be outdated.

I went into my router and opened up port 50000 to both devices.

Trying to connect to IP's in my network of the following

    Tablit : 192.168.1.121

    Laptop : 192.168.1.107

My host pc is : 192.168.1.124

I've tryed running the program as administrator.

I went into the preferences and under HTML5 exporter changed the IP's to all three, and tried just local host. restarted and no luck.

This is the error i am getten.

Unable to start HTTP server on "192.168.121" port 50000(1214). You may need to restart Construct 2 with administrator privileges. Construct 2 will attempt to start the server on "localhost" instead.

I've also exported the game va Android, Tryed to run it on my tablet. Zero luck...can someone please help me find out what i'm doing wrong?

  • I can't help you with this unfortunately, but probably not a good idea to put your IP addresses up for all to see...just sayin

  • There just Ip's in my network, I change them from day to day so no device sits on the same IP.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

I followed that to the letter, It is eather Out of date or ...well, Does not work..I googled for at least an hour before posting. Two hours at this before posting

  • I followed it three days ago and it worked for me.

    From memory (which is not too good <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> )

You must run construct 2 as an administrator

You must allow access through your firewall

in the other device you enter the address (something like 192.168,1,80:50000) into the web browser.

    Good luck

  • I did all that Ram, It's not working. And so did my team on there end for there devices.

  • oh wait, Type in the address?!?! I never read about that..
