How do I have a sprite hold it's position on the screen while holding the "Q" key? It should hold its position even when the screen scrolls, too. I've tried Anchor, but it just holds the sprite on the right side of the screen. (Sorry, I'm a TOTAL noob to forum posting, idk how to attach the capx.)

there are several ways to archive this.

one would be to move it to a layer were the paralax is 0,0 and if you release the key move it back to a normal layer.

another way would be to determine the current absolute screen position and hold it.

My suggestion would be look into those 2 topics
