Using the "Shadows - penumbra" example that comes with r170, how would I 'hide' things when in darkness?
Say i wanted to hide a monster where the red X is only to show when it was in the light.

It's ok, I think i have it. Create another layer (with monster) underneath the main layer and make the main payer Transparent.
That seems to only half work. If you want the monster to cast shadows too then looses its colour.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
What about that cast shadows? is a third-party plugin?
edit: oh sh... I haven't seen the new update
I wondered about this too. I thought maybe I could use line of sight checks for on-screen objects and hide them, but I apparently don't know enough about the LoS behavior to make it work right. I can't get the event to trigger.
It seems a bit pointless to have shadows if you cant hide things in them
