Hi!

I need to save user's progress in web games (like on Facebook/Kongregate/Newground).

Is there any way to do it? As I understand local storage can't help me.

Construct 2 already has a backup function called "Save" in the system. To load the backup, use the "load" action. The saves are created in the browser used it seems to me.

Save and localstorage are both stored in the end user's local browser cache.

If you're interested in cloud saving with a third party API (for example to access your save from multiple computers), you'll need to use a specific plugin for whatever service you are using.

Just highlighting that although you MAY use a third party API or specific plugin, this is also feasible with basic php and a mysql db.

A while ago ArcadEd made an excelent tutorial explaining how to save a leaderboard online, the principles are the same. You should check it at:
