RPG pause menu

does anyone know how i can make a pause menu like in the rpgs, with the buy items, quit game, inventory..etc....

so i guess i first need to pause the game, and when paused the menu appears, is there any tutorial avaiable, or can someone help me make one?

it helps when making the pause sistem... but how can i make the buttons for the items and stuff..im a noob so..

There are built in Buttons under Form Controls when you insert new objects or you can create your own buttons from Sprites but you'll have to program from scratch how they react when you mouse over them or click on them.
