How do I recover my project from an autosave?

I have done a lot of thing sin my project and C2 stoped working. How do I open that .autosave file and recover the things I've done?

as far as i know those are just zip files with another extension. so you could open it with 7zip for example and decompress your project.

u just open the backup file or autosave with c2 thats how it work for me

can also rename it to .capx

can also rename it to .capx

This is what I use too.

Renaming the extensions from *.autosave or *.backup to *.capx

If enabled, Construct 2 will automatically save the project to a .capx.autosave file in the same folder on a regular interval (as determined by Autosave frequency).

In the event of a crash, power failure, or even just accidentally closing and not saving, the project can be recovered from the last autosave by renaming the file with the .capx.autosave extension to just .capx and opening it again.
