Simple yet very life-like rag doll made with Physics!
  • Hi guys,

Im new in Construct 2, i want to say thanks in advance for the help you give in the forums (i?ve been reading lots of topics). Construct 2 is great, i tried other "similar" programs and this one is the best by far.

So like all newbies im having some problems. Im creating a game and my character is based on the kind of movement we can see in the "rolling platformer" example.

After making the player jumps only once i still have a problem with the controls: the player?s jump varies in height. Is not a lot, but enought to be a little bit weird, because this way i cant control the difficulty of the game so well.

Any idea? I will attach a capx if needed, but is just like the one in the rolling platformer.

    Thanks a lot :)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Don't use the impulses or the forces

( I don't know how but you go higher when you click longer even if you use the " on (Key) pressed " event )

Another good option is the :

    Set Velocity

    Xcomponents : YourObjectName.Physics.VelocityX

    Ycomponents : A negative number between 1 and 9 * 100

    Here it is !

  • Thanks for the reply.

I just cant do what you say. Hopefully i will be able to do it in a few days. Lets check more tutorials and topics :)and then try it again.

    By, and thanks again!
