physics based platformer help?

I have all the movements and animations working threw variables.

all except one i cant wrap my head around it, i can run left, right, jump and glide all with animations but, when i press J for my character to punch nothing happens :S here is what i got:

please help i also need to know once i have done that action how to add another punch after it by pressing the same button so i can make a combo.

Change subevent combo=4 to normal event. When you change combo to 4 then main event (on 3 pressed, Platform is on floor, combo = 0) is false and don't run subevents.

tried it but sadly didn't work but don't think i understood you properly lol i be a noob could you brake it down for me a bit? please?

Anyone know how to fix this? Am I setting everything out wrong or something? Also I have had the punch working at one point with a timer but when I press j again for the second punch it still goes off the first timer instead of the second anybody know how to set up a good combo system? I thanks
