thank you for the response! okay, so there is no "your downloads" option on my left. Also, here's the thing: i purchased the license before i created this account. Perhaps this account needs to be linked to the purchase? I have my paypal receipt but no sort of redeem code from construct 2.
Did you purchase from this site or via Steam?
If this site, then you would have needed an account before purchasing, so you will need to log in using that same account. Either way, you should have received a redeem code via email that you can enter in the store.

As has already been stated: if you purchased via Steam, then you install via Steam - you do not get a license from here as well.
