Was just trying out the node webkit exe exporter. Might be a noob

question but do i need to package the file up with another program

so that the game could be installed on the user machine.

Cause the file just contains the exe that i just click and it plays.

It should have generated a folder with the linux, win and osx versions of your game. You shouldn't have a problem installing the program on another machine.

You just need to copy the files to another computer, and they should run right away. You might want to encourage people to install dxwebsetup.exe before playing, though - it's not necessary, but if it's not already installed, you might not get WebGL support.
