  • Hi, Im new to Construct 2 and it seems very simple to create a game. I have been familiarizing with the toolkit but I really dont know how to start.

Im going to create a simple bejeweled similar game and I dont have a clue where to start or what to look for to begin. Anyone know witch steps to start ?

  • Hello gisli, and welcome to the Construct forum!

Before creating a game, i recommend you making a random project and find out what everything does. It's hard to make a game, without any knowledge, because if i say like this:

    System

    Conditon Pick Nearest

    Diamond.Y, Diamond.X

    -destroy

    -set Dead_toggle to 1

..you probably dont understand it, right? Go ahead and read some tutorials!

  • Yes, you are right I do not understand. I?m trying to create the ghost shooter game for testing just to learn how this works. But my objective is to create a jewel game. Thanks for the reply. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Lol , CX05

    Do you understand this

    On D pressed

    -For each Blocks

    -floor(Player.Y/32)= Blocks.TileY

    --abs(Player.X-Blocks.X),48

    --Xfloor(player.X/32)> Blocks.TileX

    ---Add 1 to TileX

    ... And there's more !

BTW , Here is a How-To Bejeweled Tutorial

    Cheers ...
