Mirror Hirarchy character?

Sync animations, animation frames, mirror state, sounds and anything else using these methods.
  • So, I got a character consisting of several sprites in a hirarchy and animated trough timelines.

    I would like to do the left-walk animation in the Timeline and mirror it for the right side.

    Problem is when I mirror the Parent the children will use their own axis as mirror. So a face looking up, will look down after the hirarchy is mirrored.

    Is there an easy fix for this, or maybe another way to do the same thing?

  • I take it timelines are not yet fit to animate a complex character who mirrors / flip. There are tools missing. So will still look to Spriter.

  • Hey WizLore, I don't know if it solves your problem, but I was facing a similar issue and used the following workaround:

    1 - duplicated the animation and named it "left"

    2 - changed the angles of the left animation using the formula: 360 - right_angle = left_angle

    It works nicely in a simple animation but takes some extra effort. Not sure if it fits your use case, but here is the example, just in case someone finds this topic on Google as I did.
